AIMPLAS' Laboratory has the largest number of ENAC accreditations for the plastics industry in Spain, for thermoplastics, thermosetting and composite materials, covering tests ranging from raw material characterisation to the analysis of finished products in different sectors of the plastic industry, such as the following:
- Construction: pipes, flexible sheet for waterproofing, tanks, etc.
- Packaging: plastic shopping bags, cosmetics, food, packaging film, etc.
- Automotive sector: raw materials, door panels, car roofs, dashboards, etc.
- Characterisation of recycled materials.
- Furniture: kitchen sinks, shower trays, garden furniture, etc.
- Agriculture: greenhouse film, irrigation pipes, etc.
- Medicine: prosthesis, catheters, drainage tubes, etc.
- Composites materials of the navigation, aeronautics and wind energy sectors.
With these characterisations and analyses, we try to offer integral solutions aimed at making technical product cards data sheets, validation of part quality control, compliance of specifications, characterisation of unknown samples, property assessment to determine the causes of both breakages and problems, failure analysis, etc.
Moreover, AIMPLAS' Laboratory has been notified, according to the Directive 89/106/CEE, for the conformity assessment to obtain the CE marking of:
- Thermoplastic tanks for domestic heating fuel oil storage, in compliance with the harmonized standard UNE-EN 13341.
- Prefabricated septic tanks and auxiliary equipment used for the partial domestic residual water purification (hotels and offices buildings’ residual waters included), for populations up to 50 inhabitants, applicable to plants with tanks made of PE, PP and glass fibre-reinforced polyester (GFRP), in compliance with the harmonized standards UNE-EN 12566-1 and -3.
